Autism or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a lifelong developmental disability that affects how a person communicates with, and relates to, other people. It also affects how they make sense of the world around them. Around 700,000 people in the UK are on the autism spectrum.
Asperger Syndrome is a form of autism and people with Asperger Syndrome predominantly do not have a learning disability, they are often of average or above average intelligence.
